Some Cool Links
Sites
- diabloii.net. I go here every couple days to catch up on Diablo 2 related stuff.
- blizzard.com. The company that brought you such games as StarCraft, WarCraft, and Diablo.
- the-underdogs.org. This is the best site for abandonware.
- download.com.com. An excellent shareware site.
- W3C HTML validator. A neat little place where you can see if your webpage is valid html, xml, or xhtml.
- Popcap Games. All sorts of neat little games to fritter away your time with
- Yahoo Games. This is where I go to play online pool and bridge.
- Nabisco World. If you want to play online games that must have been designed by people who decided to get stoned and then go on a drinking binge, this is the place to go.
- The Eye of Argon Possibly the worst Fantasy story ever written. There are contests at SF conventions on who can read the most of this before breaking out laughing.
- My Chessboard Page. This page is just a chessboard I made that resizes to fill your browser window. Note: IE sucks, and misdisplays this page.
- Red Vs. Blue. A web-cartoon based on, and filmed entirely within, the Bungie game Halo. This just might be the funniest thing on the web.
- Rent-A-Coder. This is a place where coders can freelance.
- Annie's website. This is a site I designed for her.
- The coolest forum thread ever. I created and used the accounts Beelzebub and SonOfGod, and I created GreatBuddha and gave it to a friend, and we had fun all over the redvsblue.com forums. I archived the thread for posterity.
- Dancing Leper Disguised As A Drunk Midget Productions. My machinima "company". It will make you rethink all other machinimas on the planet.
Products
- Free Browsers: Firefox, Opera and Amaya let you stay away from MacroCrap and Netscape. Links are on my help page
- Haxial TextEdit. A neat little plaintext editing program which I now use instead of notepad. Only opens plaintext, but doesn't have a file size restriction and is blindingly fast. Just be prepared to learn a new set of hotkeys.
- BS Player. A media file player that's very good at not being choppy. I have some divx files that only play properly in this player.
- Windows RG (Really Good Edition). No, this is not a real release of MacroCrap WinBlows, but it is very funny.
- PuTTY. This is an exceptional telnet/ssh client. Totally free, totally open-source.
- Bloodshed Dev-C++. A free C++ program. Yet another link on this page specifically for avoiding MacroCrap
- SoulSeek. File sharing without the adware of KaZaA. Don't believe me that kazaa has spyware? Try to uninstall bonsai buddy.
- SuSE Linux. SuSE claims that version 8.1 can run any WinBlows program. I've used this linux distribution, and believe me when I say it's solid, and I prefer it to WinBlows.
- Deadly Rooms of Death is the best puzzle game I've ever played. Visit the forums and find a dungeon I'm designing. Hint: my forum alias is DiMono
As I find/remember more sites and utilities, I'll post them up here.
